Visiting Aspen? Fly with AERO.

Sitting at 7,820 feet… the highest commercial airport in the United States… one way in, one way out.

The Aspen Pitkin County Airport is one of the most technical airports in the country. Also known as Sardy Field, this airport used to be privately owned but is now owned by the county. Because of the airport’s location, the landing is difficult – even in the best conditions. Surrounded by mountains and strong winds, there is little room for error here. Although the Aspen Airport offers commercial flights, due to winter weather conditions and the small size of this airport, touching down in a private airplane can be much more desirable and reliable.

We can’t speak for the rest of the country, but we all know that flying into Aspen is a hit or a miss. Because of the technicality of landing here, many commercial flights are canceled or delayed due to visibility and snowy conditions. Because of this, flying with AERO can make your trip seamless. AERO offers flexible flight times and is much more accommodating than any commercial airline.
