Situated west of the Old West End are the neighborhoods of Cemetery Lane and Red Butte, and to the west on the south side of SH82 are the prestigious residential areas of West Buttermilk, the Maroon Creek Club and Meadowood.
While one can find large estate properties across the highway, the Cemetery Lane area is a mix of new construction and older single-family homes with several duplex and townhouse units. Many homes in the Cemetery Lane area border the Aspen Public Golf Course with easy access to the trail that encircles its grounds and with spectacular views of Pyramid Peak. There are still redevelopment opportunities here and its proximity to Aspen makes it very attractive. Free public transportation brings residents into town though it is an easy bike ride or a manageable walk for those who are so inclined.
